With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, these awards are truly an honor.

The Silver Telly Award was received for a video produced for the McLean County Child Protection Network; the video was shown during a recent fundraiser event which raised $ 106,000 for the organization. The Bronze Telly Award was for an educational video piece created for the McLean County Health Department. The piece entitled, Truth Is: A Flu Story, warned viewers of the reality of the H1N1 virus. For its 33rd season, the Telly Awards once again joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the Peoples Telly Awards. In addition to recognition from the judging panel that selects the Telly Awards winners, known as the Silver Telly Council, the Internet community also helps decide the Peoples Telly Awards winners.

A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of the Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Entries do not compete against each other, rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as winners of the Bronze Telly, and less than 10% of entries are chosen as winners of the Silver Telly, the industrys highest honor.
