Camera(s)

How many cameras do you need? If you need shots of the audience as well as the speaker, you may need 2 cameras.

Standard-Definition (SD) or High-Definition (HD)

Depending on your film requirements and where the film will be viewed, you may be better off with SD or HD.

~ Web videos look amazing in HD.

~ Local Broadcast Television Network Commercials are currently only  supported in SD.

~ DVD's are usually also SD except Blue-Ray, which is HD.

Audio

Sound is more than 50% of video. Most of us can sit through lousy video, but we cannot listen to poor audio. Do you need lavalieres? Hand held microphones? Wireless? Boom Mounted? How many mics?

 

• Lavaliere Microphones clip on to your lapel, collar, or shirt. They are discrete and record extremely high quality vocals.
• Handheld mics are good for interacting with an audience.
• Wireless is wonderful. Self explanatory.
• Boom mounted shotgun mics pick up more natural sounds than lavalieres and are used frequently in movies or when the production needs to be mobile. However, shotgun mics need to be close to the speaker and require additional staff to hold the boom.

 

Lighting

Lighting is everything. Technically a camera records light. Lighting is to video as paint is to art. It defines what you see and how you see it. An artist uses paint to create his/her masterpiece. A videographer / photographer uses light to create theirs.

• Glamour Lighting - We can light you softly using soft light that will make you look your best. This is the style of lighting used for modeling.
• Creative Lighting -We can also use hard light to make your video more interesting and creative. This is how most movies are lit.

DVD Duplication / Authoring

Authoring is the process of coding your video and creating DVD's that properly play videos on DVD.  We can also create various codec's and formats of your video that are playable on iPods and other multimedia devices as well as the internet.
